Desolation

Game Overview

Desolation is a 2D top-down roguelite dungeon crawler game where you play as a symbiotic entity, spawned in an unknown land. You infest enemies to get their body and ability, and continue the game as your host Infest, Fight, and survive as you uncover the mysteries of your existence.

Gameplay and Mechanics

Play as one of the variant of symbiote and infest an enemy. Infesting allows you to inherit their playstyle and stats such as health and damage. Kill in order to take control a different enemy type. Acquire and experiment with upgrade to suit your playstyle.

Future Features

• A variety of symbiote with their own special skills and playstyle
• Different eras with different type of enemies to infect
• More upgrades and boss fights per certain waves

Desolation is showcased in Philippine Game Dev Expo 2024 [PGDX] last July 26-28. We're still currently developing the game and would be pushing updates as much as we can in the future! 

Desolation was also showcased in Game Dev Summit 2025 last February 2025, we've developed the game into a dungeon crawler game and added a boss enemy to the game.
